I LOVE to be pampered. But then again, who doesn't? The funny thing is I am not a touchy feel-y, love-y dove-y kind of girl. I'm more of a "you're invading my personal space, hug you from the side" kind of chic. UNLESS, that is, you are playing with my hair or tickling my back. In that case, there's no such thing as my personal space. Weird? I can't help it. I will go to great lengths for this kind of pampering. Just ask my old high school classmate, Rebecca. In high school, I would take 2 sets of notes. One for me and one for her while she played with my hair or rubbed my neck. And still, as a 36 year old adult, I will pure bribe someone to play with my hair. Just like my statement in the "I Love to Eat" post, for those of you that know me well, you are reading this and shaking your head in TOTAL agreement!
Truth be told, I am spoiled and have been as long as I can remember. I don't necessarily mean it in a bragging sense, but more in a thankful manner. I was spoiled as a baby and toddler by my Maw Maw and Paw Paw on my mom's side. This was probably because I was the first grandchild. Although Bert (my brother) and I didn't realize it at the time, my mom spoiled us as kids. There wasn't very many kids whose mom got up EVERY morning and cooked a smorgasbord of a breakfast and packed a full lunch (did y'all catch that brownie point?). Honestly, Bert and I probably complained about not being able to order like everyone else (crazy I know!). If you follow me on social media, I don't have to tell you how spoiled I am by KC (the hubs). I mean hello he's building me a barn y'all! But there's this other guy that pampers me ridiculously!
It's this guy. My Dad. Who is now bawling his eyes out as he reads this! But it's true! He lives in South Carolina. Every time we visit him or he visits us, he secretly schedules me a massage or facial and sometimes BOTH! How sweet is that? Or how about the fact that each visit to Alabama, includes a FULLY stocked frig and pantry, a massive bowl of candy (rolos of course - DANG him), and a sparkling clean house (ok well that would be thanks to my stepmom Barbara). Or how about the times he turns on a chic flick for the girls and the next thing you know there is a fabulous snack in your lap! You get the point, right?. And then there's my personal favorite, when he pats his leg giving me permission to lay across his lap for the ultimate back tickling session.
In honor of all this "spoilage" and pampering, I'm giving away a few items so you can pamper yourself: Bubble bath, handmade soap, lavender sachet, and a yummy locally made votive. My desk/office area smells amazing thanks to these gems! I know Whitlee Mullis is proud I am keeping with my branding colors!
