A Sunday Soirée

Today, we're bragging on a soirée that happened one year ago.  Happy anniversary to one of our amazing brides and her groom, Kendall and Matthew.  When you become a Le Rae bride, we give you an extensive questionnaire to complete.  This is so we can learn as much as possible about your likes, your personality, your vision, and so on.  One of the questions asks "what do you want people to remember most about your wedding".  While I don't remember it word for word, I will never forget the gist of their answer "that Christ was glorified or that people saw Christ in them".  Absolute beautiful souls.   A few weeks ago, Kendall rocked my word when out of the blue she sent me a beautiful and encouraging text.  Again, absolute beautiful soul.

This was such a sweet reception.  White and blush flowers tucked in vintage tea sets and silver punch bowls were the outdoor centerpieces.  Then inside, we had small vintage trays topped with a small floral and vintage framed scripture prints on the tables.  The food stations were equally as adorable.  Mac and cheese was served in vintage tea cups and and held in shabby chic cabinets.  Her dance floor was surrounded by white church pews and custom made coffee tables with the sweetest blush fabric. The pews were flanked with handmade floral boxes adorned with lace ribbon and pearl brooches.  It truly was lovely!  A beautiful wedding for a beautiful family and a beautiful couple!  Love y'all!

P.S.  Mr. Randy I still owe you that steak!  ;)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

When Lacy May and John Andrews set their wedding date of April 28, 2012, Lacy gave us 3 words; water, vintage, and fried okra.  I knew the spot.....Pisgah Hill.  It was the perfect setting.  I remember taking them over to see it for the first time.  I couldn't help but be nervous!  Would she like it?  Would she see what I see....the possibilities?  But, the second we turned in the driveway and headed toward the pond Lacy made her all familiar noise "ooohhhhhh" and I immediately knew this would be our first wedding on the land!

Our house is 300 feet away from Pisgah Hill so it was a great spot for the bridal party to get ready.  This is one of the many AMAZING shots by Wes Roberts.

Lacy arrived at the ceremony in style in this gorgeous antique car.  Thank you Mr. Sanders.

The nuptials took place in nature's cathedral complete with antique doors that opened for all to gaze upon the ceremony, the sunset, and their reflections in the nearby pond.

Don't ask KK about these wreaths!  I don't remember what the "tiff" was about...all I remember is eyes were cut and their may have been snarls!  LOL!

In order for guests to get to the reception, we knew many would have to walk around the pond dam.  It was important to us for it to be an enjoyment rather than a chore.  SO, what'd we do?  We got creative with it!  We created 10 frames with letters and pictures from friends and family of the couple.  While sipping lemonade, guests strolled across the memory adorned trail to the tented reception area.

The reception was “vintage-ly” fabulous; from the antiques, to the lace linens, to the fried okra and cornbread by Red's Little School House.

Loved the arrangements we did in antique silver punch bowls.

We HAD to have lounge areas with antique furntiure!  We found this set for a BARGAIN and it was probably our favorite!
